Reviews & Testimonials

"Love this restaurant. been so many times, Would highly recommend the spaghetti marinara. I buy this when I go to eat in & have often bought it as a take away too.
Prices are reasonable considering its a City Centre restaurant.
I've been here as a couple, with family & with friends and never has anyone in my company complained about the food or service.
Highly recommend. :)"

"They have the BEST pizza in the city! Delicious, great tasting pizza for half the price of big chain restaurants like Pizza Hut! For only £2.05 you can take-away a 7" pizza! Restaurant is lovely and cosy - Great to sit in or take-away. Would highly recommend!"

"Dino's is a great place to go for an authentic Italian meal in Glasgow. Its chequered tablecloths bring a Lady & The Tramp feel to the place, whilst you are served delicious food by cheerful Italian waiters.
You can opt to sit in the proper restaurant or the cafe area instead, where you can choose from a wide selection of pizza and pasta - and the best is yet to come. They have a wonderful counter full of cakes, from which I chose the biggest piece of chocolate cake I could find. Not for the faint hearted, this is the richest and chocolatiest of cakes, that my sister and I shared between us and were still stuffed and satisfied.
They also serve pizzas by the slice at the takeaway counter, which is ideal if you're in for some good Italian food on the go."

"I've been here multiple times, and each time, I have at least enjoyed myself. Although I only really have the pizza, I can at least attest to the restaurants family feel, and I don't mean suitable for families, which is it anyway, but the fact that the restaurant has some history to it, and compared to Di Maggio's, Dino's does not have that corporate, in-eat-pay-out feel that so many others do."

"Myself and a friend had a day out in Glasgow from Fife and went into Dinos for a meal. We had a soup started and the beef pasta meal. The meal was first class and as we just took a chance at 1800hrs on a sat evening without a booking, We were well looked after. I had £16 taken off my bill due to a accident resulting in my beer being spilled on my trousers. Would recommend a visit."

"My wife and myself had a meal on a busy Saturday evening and enjoyed the experience. Service was prompt the food was of a good quality and the staff were friendly. The cost was, for a city centre establishment, reasonable so much so I am about to book a table for another pre theater meal."

"I came here for a meeting when on a week's work placement - unusual but pleasant choice of venue - and it certainly calmed my work experience nerves. Not wanting to rock the boat I ordered the same as everyone else (a variety of teas, coffees, bacon and sausage rolls) with a cup of tea and a bacon roll. The fellow who served us, scurrying about, was so jolly even just to look at that he banished away any worries.

The bill was taken care of so I don't know how pricey it was but since this was the obvious choice for the team for their frequent meetings I guess it must be good value and it seemed like a reliable choice. I think more work places should have meetings in these conditions - it promotes a good work ethic. Honest."

"This is a nice little restaurant in the centre of town that also has a take away part which serves pizzas at one half and sandwiches and cakes at the other. The sandwiches are brilliant with a nice variety of fresh breads and fillings. They also sell freshly baked doughnuts the size of your head! Mmm! The restaurant is a little expensive but they serve nice meals both for lunch and dinner. Their pasta and pizza is delicious."

"Located seconds from the bus station and concert hall, you get the impression from the accents of the diners that when arriving in Glasgow its straight off the coach and into Dinos. The second branch opposite Central station has a similar end-of-the-road atmosphere, feeding and watering weary tourists. The Sauchiehall street branch consists of takeaway at the front of shop, doing a roaring trade in pizzas and baguettes, while the old-school cafe area is always busy with shoppers inhaling bacon rolls and coffee. During the weekend there are often queues for the large traditional restaurant which can see 300 covers in a day. There are no surprises on the huge menu, except perhaps the price of scampi (£18.15). Otherwise pizzas, pasta and speciality meats including veal and sirloin steaks are freshly prepared with a selection of tasty sauces. Despite the huge menu, the helpful staff were happy to accommodate a sizable table of American physicians who wanted to order off menu, all of them receiving bespoke dishes. Going the extra mile might explain why theyve been in business for more than 40 years."

"Everyone goes here on a Saturday Sauchiehall st. shopping day. Good value and good food in the cafe section. Also a restaurant next door but haven't been there. Staff really friendly despite the sheer volume of people (be prepared to wait for a table)."

"The huge neon sign ensures that everyone who passes by Dino's will remember where it is. It's worth remembering too - for the charming, largely Italian staff, the atmosphere more reminiscent of Rome or Milan than rainy Sauchiehall Street, and the reliably excellent menu (over 100 dishes) which features fantastic pizzas with a thin, crispy and herb-infused base. If you're in a hurry or just want to sample something without the full sit-down experience, there's a takeaway section too."
